4. Information Sharing & Visibility

4.1 Member Directory

Your profile is visible to other verified EXATEC Australia members. You control what contact information is shared through your privacy settings:

  • Always visible to verified members: Name, profile photo, academic background (campus, degree, graduation year), current location (state/metro area)
  • You control visibility of: Email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, social media links
  • Never publicly displayed: Exact street address, visa status details

4.2 Board Members

Alumni board members who serve in official roles have their basic profile information (name, photo, role, bio) visible on the public Alumni Board page to establish transparency and trust.

4.3 Administrative Access

Alumni organisation administrators can view all profile information for the purposes of:

  • Verifying membership applications
  • Managing community events and communications
  • Providing member support
  • Maintaining platform integrity

4.4 Third-Party Services

We may share limited information with:

  • Mailchimp: If you opt in to our newsletter, your name, email, and basic profile information is synced with our Mailchimp mailing list
  • Supabase: Our database and authentication provider, which processes data in accordance with their privacy policy

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
