Photo Contest Guidelines

Snap-py Snaps is EXATEC Australia’s monthly photo contest, revealed and voted on during our monthly catch-up.

🎯 Monthly Theme

Each round has a theme.

  • The theme for the current round is announced in advance

  • The winner of each round chooses the theme for the next one

📱 Submission Rules

To keep things fun, fair, and accessible:

  • Photos must be taken on a mobile phone

  • Photos must be your own

  • Photos must clearly relate to the monthly theme

  • Only one submission per person is allowed per round

  • Each submission must include a short caption

🚫 What Is Not Allowed

The following are not permitted:

  • AI-generated images

  • Photoshop or heavy digital manipulation

  • Content depicting nudity

  • Content depicting illegal activities

  • Anything offensive, unsafe, or not appropriate for a community setting

Light corrections that do not alter the essence of the photo should be avoided unless explicitly allowed for a round.

🗳️ How Voting Works

  • Entries are revealed during the monthly EXATEC catch-up

  • Voting happens live during the session

  • The community selects the winning photo

🏆 Winner Recognition

The winner of each round:

  • Chooses the theme for the next round

  • Has the opportunity to be featured as EXATEC of the Month

The EXATEC of the Month feature is created separately through a short interview and community spotlight piece.

✅ Spirit of the Contest

Snappy Snaps is meant to celebrate creativity, storytelling, and community.

The best entries do not just look good — they capture a moment, a feeling, or a perspective that connects with others.
