The EXATEC Suggestion Box is a lightweight system to capture ideas from the community and turn them into meaningful initiatives over time.
It is designed to be:
Open and inclusive
Structured but not heavy
Action-oriented
Suggestions can be submitted at any time through the Suggestion Box.
Additionally, ideas can be submitted alongside Snappy Snaps photo entries, allowing participants to share reflections or suggestions inspired by their submissions.
Suggestions can include:
Event ideas
Community initiatives
Improvements to existing activities
Partnerships or collaborations
Any idea that benefits EXATEC Australia
During the EXATEC Monthly Catch-Up:
New suggestions are acknowledged
Contributors are recognised (when appropriate)
Selected suggestions may be discussed with the group
Clarifications, reactions, and quick feedback are gathered
The community gets visibility into:
What has been proposed
What is being explored
What has already been actioned
Between sessions, suggestions are reviewed and organised.
Suggestions are clustered into themes such as:
Events
Community / engagement
Content / communications
Partnerships
Operations
We look for:
Recurring ideas
Common pain points
Emerging opportunities
This helps identify signals over isolated suggestions.
Suggestions are prioritised based on:
Impact → Value for the community
Effort → Complexity to execute
Reach → Number of members affected
Timing → Relevance to current context
Once prioritised, suggestions move into one of the following:
Implemented as events, initiatives, or improvements
Being explored, scoped, or planned
Valuable but not a priority right now
Suggestions are tracked over time
Revisited in future sessions
Built upon as new ideas emerge
This ensures ideas are not lost and momentum is maintained.
The Suggestion Box works best when:
People contribute ideas freely
Feedback is constructive and respectful
The community stays engaged in shaping outcomes
Not every suggestion will be actioned immediately —
but every suggestion contributes to shaping EXATEC Australia.
Small ideas, over time, become real initiatives.
